YEAR:

LOCATION:
Johnson City, TN
SIZE:

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
For the opening Fall 2017 football season, ETSU kicked off their inaugural Division 1 football game against the Limestone Saints in their new William B. Greene Jr. Stadium. As Prime Architect, MHM completed the horseshoe-shaped, true bowl concrete stadium design featuring a 6,600 seating bowl capacity with 400-seat luxury skyboxes and Press Level. New locker rooms are in the adjacent Bond facility for home and visiting teams.
The stadium includes a grand arched Bank of Tennessee ticket entryway feature, an artificial turf playing field, chair-backed individual luxury seats at mid-field with regular aluminum-backed bench stadium seating, concession areas, restrooms, field maintenance facilities, and a new signature skybox.
The skyboxes feature at the main concourse level, an indoor west club venue for premium season ticket holders, and gated open outdoor seating areas for alumni. The upper levels feature a full level dedicated to enclosed individual luxury skybox suites with an adjoining hospitality area. The President’s suite has an adjoining luxury box suite with a shared hospitality area. Both luxury suites have the capacity for a full, uninterrupted open-air experience with operable field-side glass panels. On the same level, the press has premium views of the field of play with their own dedicated separate hospitality area.
The stadium is situated between the tennis and soccer facilities and the Center for Physical Activity on campus. A separate grand entrance arch structure along with two concession/toilet structures were also constructed, all brick-clad.
