The Lauderdale County Agricultural Events Center is considered to be a multi-use community facility to accommodate a wide variety of uses and events including concerts, rodeos, graduations, athletic competitions, family entertainment shows, religious gatherings, livestock and equestrian competitions and events. This mixed-use development will also include a VoTech career training center, numerous restaurants and retail shops and a 120+ room hotel.
The masterplan for this 167 acre complex includes the main events center, a multi-purpose exposition hall, covered livestock arena, stall barn, open show ring, RV hookups and an equipment/storage building. In addition, a thirty acre vocational/technical career training complex, restaurants, related retail shops and a 120 key hotel(s) are included.
The Agricultural Event Facilities will be the keystone facility for the overall development. A boulevard main entrance will enter the site off of Highway 72. The retail will hug the west and north highway sides of the site. The hotel will form a focal point at the end of the entry boulevard and the Ag Center facilities will feature as the focal point and trail down to the lower end of the site with a water feature/focal "lake" with surrounding walking trails. The site will be developed with RV camping spots in the southern and east corners. Located at a smaller east entrance to the site off Highway 72, the State's VoTech facility will sit conveniently near the highway and share the event parking with the Ag Center.
