David Collins is the firm鈥檚 鈥渞ecovering politician鈥 having served two terms as a Knox County Commissioner and seven years as City Architect before joining MHM in 2000. David believes this experience in the public sector gives him a unique understanding of a client鈥檚 expectations of the design team. His ability to build consensus among multiple parties and articulate a common vision for a project is a key attribute of his practice style.
Though semi-retired, David continues to seek opportunities to develop and maintain new relationships for the firm. As an active board member on several of Knoxville鈥檚 non-profit organizations, he has a passion for and dedication to giving back to his community, which includes mentoring MHM鈥檚 younger architects.
